An Open-Minded Journal Snob
ARRRGGHHH!
That's the sound of frustration, people.
I've been trying to add to my buddy list for the past two weeks or so, but the search hasn't been all that productive. Everytime I browse through other diaries, I just end up getting angry. Why are there so many crappy, teenage-angsty diaries out there? Why is it that hardly anyone out there writes anything interesting? Why do all the good diarists end up dying/falling off the face of the earth/becoming Indonesian missionaries, leaving me without something halfway decent to read? And why do I expect more people on Diaryland to be more mature than the fourteen-year-old selves they are?
Spffft. It's just a waste of time.
Anyways, I've got to admire Sandy's attempt at Diaryland domination. Even though it seems kind of funny, lots of people write in their diaries for the simple pleasure of being read by other people. I mean, who doesn't like having a fanbase? I'm seriously thinking about buying a Gold Membership this week. Really serious. I could use me some banners, you know? Ahhh, but then there's that little being of conscience left in me that worries about being a sell-out.
Ahhh, screw having a good conscience. It didn't get Pinocchio very far, did it? I mean, he had a lousy cricket, for Chrissake. Anybody could've just doused old Jiminy Cricket with a can of Raid, and poof! No more guilty conscience.
But come to think of it, Disney movies never work out that way.
Today's Soundtrack: "Rockin' the Suburbs," Ben Folds
Best Part of the Day: Watching Brian bend down to pass out papers in class. Great view.
