Only Con Leche

I shaved my legs tonight.

This in itself, would be a normal event for any almost-twenty-something woman, but for me, it's an important monument. Just because I really hate doing it. I'm lazy about it, you know? So every year, after the first twinge of October's cold rolls around, I stop doing it altogether. I mean, what's the point in cutting myself mercilessly in the shower when hardly anyone's going to get the opportunity to see beneath my jeans, anyway? It's a waste of time, I tell you. So now I'll just bask in the glory of knowing that I won't break out another pink, scented razor until the end of March.

Hallelujah.

The funny part is that I never would've started shaving in the first place if I hadn't gotten made fun of in the seventh grade. I thought going around with hairy gams was normal, just because my mother is really European about these things. She doesn't like shaving anything either, so how could you possibly expect me to know any better? I didn't. Until Sarah Zwick had the sense to say something during sit-ups in gym.

"Duuu-ddde, you've gotta shave your legs!"

And it was as simple as that.
