Lavish Review
Date of Application: August 29, 2003
Date of Review: October 21, 2003
Score Recieved: 95/100
Highlights: You're not like every other diarists, because you don't just log your daily events or just write something to entertain us. Your entries are a combination of daily events, witty comments, humorous(ish) poems, stories, flashbacks, etc. Not necessarily all in one all the time, but you're still a good storyteller.
Interpretations: This was my first review, and I think I did pretty well for myself. Vickie did a great job critiquing me--very thorough and well-done.
Bonus: She gave me a 189 new hits in one day because she read every freaking entry I had. Can you believe that? And let's not forget the fact that she fixed the CSS script to my archives page. She was just awesome, I'd recommend her to just about anyone.
Gripes: It took a loooong time to get this review done. I'd almost given up completely. But I understand that people get caught up in things that are happening in their real lives, so I can't complain too much. She tried to get back with me as soon as possible, and I appreciated that.

Not Your Star Reviews
Date of Application: October 23, 2003
Date of Review: October 29, 2003
Score Recieved: 94/100
Highlights: You write alot about your day and usually that does get alittle boring..however your witty comments and funny little side stories kept me interested. Youre honest and have an adorable way about you. All in all not a bad journal, but you could spice things up just a tad.
Interpretations: I wasn't as pleased with this review, just because it seemed a little skimpy. Yeah, she did read a lot of my entries, but she seemed more concerned about my layout and extras than content. Boo-hiss to that, man.
Bonus: None.
Gripes: The points scale is kind of whack, in my opinion. For instance, giving me nine points out of ten for not having enough contact options? Come on, now. I think I'm totally stalkable (Not to give anyone any ideas). That was just silly. And there were other arbitrary points that were taken off here and there that didn't really seem to have much reasoning. The grading system is highly questionable. But hey, I signed up for the review, so I knew what I was getting myself into.

Boughetti Reviews
Date of Application: December 24, 2003
Date of Review: January 3, 2004
Score Recieved: 87/100
Highlights: Nice grammar. I love the titles of a lot of your entries. The title of this one made me laugh. Your journal entries are detailed and intelligent. This entry drew me in because of the title, but after reading the entry I was just confused. Some of the entries confused me and some like this one, I could totally understand. I hate sitting through classes I don’t like. I also intend to do something and end up doing something completely different. Like staring at the “goddam” ducks. ;-) Ha ha. I liked the way you wrote and while some of your entries seemed to be rather pointless others were well written and even funny some of the time. I am tickled by your titles-they were my favorite part.
Interpretations: Okay, so she liked my titles... Is that all? I guess was expecting a bit more oomph out of this review, just because it was as skimpy as the last one.
Bonus: Man, this review came back pretty fast, considering the amount of time it takes other people to start reading my diary.
Gripes: First of all, I scored below a 90 on this review. I really don't think I deserved that, but hey, I asked for her opinion, and I got it. I'm not going to send flames her way, or anything. Secondly, I feel a bit upset because it seems that reviewers start reading my early entries instead of venturing through the later ones. My more recent entries have a very different style than the others, and I'd much prefer to be critiqued on things like that, thank you very much. Chuh! That's what the pbj is for (hint, hint).

Dotty Reviews
Date of Application: December 24, 2003
Date of Review: February 5, 2004
Score Recieved: Not Applicable
Highlights: "...You certainly have a flair for writing--be it the standard, factual writing, or the more creative type and you should definitely nurture it... I ended up spending much more time than I thought reading your diary, once I had read a bit and got into the way you write, I really started to enjoy it."
Interpretations: I chose Dotty Reviews primarily because it was one of the first sites I found that focused more on actual critiques than numerical scores. Yeah, it's nice to score really highly on a person's review site (Especially the KING of review sites, Diary Reviews! Eeek! I don't think I'll ever have the balls to be reviewed there!), but half the time, people don't take much care or consideration into what they've written. If you like/hate my site, I want you to tell me why in more than six sentences. I want a full-blown critique, people. So there.
Bonus: Charlotte rocks. End of story.
Gripes: Does anyone out there like the Java roll-over script I have for my links? Guess not.

Lime Reviews
Date of Application: June 7, 2004
Date of Review: June 18, 2004
Score Recieved: 86/100
Highlights: "It hurts when as a reviewer you find a reviewee who writes better than yourself. You feel like you should find all the flaws in their writing and make them pay."
Interpretations: Ouch. So basically, you're saying that since I come off as a more intelligent, capable writer, you're already prepared to hold a grudge against me? Gee, thanks. However, in the reviewer's defence, she did give me a score of 24 out of 25 for writing content, which is excellent. I wasn't expecting to get such a high mark after reading those comments.
Bonus: Ummm.. quick review? I guess that's all I've got to say there.
Gripes: I know I should've expected it, but most of the points removed from my score came from the layout criteria. That whole section alone is worth 50 points--twice as much as the actual content section. I'm not a design junkie, so I can't say that I was expecting to get a perfect score on this part, but still. Why is it that eye candy is worth more than the content itself? Enough griping already... I did sign up for the review, so I can't bitch too much about it, can I?
