Spinster for Hire

Still broke. Still tired. Still jobless.

...If never have to I fill out another application, or print out another resumé/cover letter duo ever again, it'll be too soon. Seriously.

It seems like EVERYBODY and their twin sister is hiring right now... They just aren't happy with my available hours. Funny... That's the reason I ended up quitting my fabulously fufilling job at Club Target (Are we reading the sarcasm here, people?). No one really seems to understand that the reason I have such limited availibilty is because I'm putting myself through school. No, I can't work the early morning shift... I've got a history lecture at 9:30. And no, I can't stay past 11:00 on Wednesday, not if I expect to make any of my journalism deadlines. What do you people want from me?

...Maybe I'm trying to do too much at one time?

I'm starting to shift my focus away from the mall scene (although I did fill out two new applications this afternoon after going to another disasterous interview). I'm trying to concentrate more on getting an actual internship that'll come to mean something when I manage to graduate. I found two good ones... One of them is actually sponsored by the advertising branch of the city's major newspaper, and another one by the school. Right now I'm kind of leaning towards the one at school, seeing as how it's one of the rare internships that actually pays any money (Much more than any of the stores at the mall were offering). And besides that, it's located on the campus, which means I wouldn't have to drive downtown three to four nights a week, fighting for a parking space. It sounds like a good deal.

Right now all I need is a good night's sleep and a good old fashioned miracle to help me out of the poor house. Anyone up for making Paypal donations? It's for a good cause, you know.
